This movie does not question the existence of a God. Instead, it asserts that not only is God real, but more importantly, the Almighty has an excellent sense of humor. What the film does ask the viewer to question is a blind faith in the infallibility of organized religion and the morality of corporate consumerism. A powerful critique of both institutions that is just as relevant decades after its initial release.
